A woman who fatally stabbed her 79-year-old mother in a targeted attack in Virginia has been arrested, authorities announced.
Officers responded at around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, to the 2300 block of Dulles Station Boulevard in McNair, after a caretaker arrived and found her patient unresponsive, police said.
Detectives said they found Herndon resident Norma Little with stab wounds to her upper body. She was declared dead at the scene by first responders.
During the investigation, Little's daughter, Helena Little, 31, was identified as a suspect, and she was arrested in the 1800 block of Metro Center Drive in Reston days after the fatal stabbing.
Helena Little was taken into custody without incident and charged with second-degree murder. She is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond.
No details about a possible motive have been identified by investigators.
