A product sold online is being pulled from homes nationwide after federal safety officials warned it could pose a threat to life.
Federal regulators have ordered a nationwide recall of Anna Queen-branded play yards sold on Amazon after determining they violate mandatory safety standards and pose suffocation and entrapment hazards for young children.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the action was announced on Thursday, Nov. 20, and applies to about 70 units sold earlier this year.
The products have black fabric sides with gray mesh panels and white top rails printed with colorful bear faces, paws, and the word “bear.” Each includes a mattress pad with the same bear pattern. Packaging and tags list model P700 and a production date of 202503.
According to the CPSC recall notice, the design can allow a child to become trapped or pressed against the sides or bottom of the play yard, creating a risk of serious injury or death from suffocation or entrapment. No injuries have been reported so far, but officials say the products do not meet the safety requirements set for play yards used in US homes.
The play yards were sold on Amazon starting in March 2025 for between $100 and $110.
Regulators are urging families to stop using the recalled play yards immediately. Consumers are instructed to take the fabric cover off the frame, cut up the cover and mattress pad so they cannot be reused, then email a photo of the destroyed product to tingerservice@outlook.com
to receive a full refund. After that, the entire play yard should be thrown away so it cannot be passed on or resold.
The CPSC says the recall is meant to remove potentially dangerous products from homes before a tragedy occurs. The action is listed under recall number 26-099.
