Notre Dame football tied a program record with 35 first-quarter points on Saturday, Nov. 22, vs. Syracuse.

The Fighting Irish scored the first 21 points without its offense even touching the field, as Jalen Stroman returned an interception for a 44-yard touchdown. That was followed up by a Luke Talich 22-yard punt return for a touchdown. Leonard Moore then returned a 46-yard interception for a score to make it 21-0 Fighting Irish with 9:35 left in the first quarter.

When the Notre Dame offense finally took the field, Jeremiyah Love scored on a 45-yard touchdown and that was followed by a Jadarian Price 58-yard TD run to make it 35-0 Fighting Irish with 4:01 left in the first quarter.
