South Shore-style bar pizza has gotten hot, going from a regional food relatively little known outside of Boston’s southern suburbs to becoming as big — if not bigger — than clam chowder, steak tips and North Shore-style roast beef sandwiches.

There have always been plenty of places to find bar pizza south of the city, but more and more are popping up and it’s even starting to make its way to Boston and communities to the north (it’s still nearly impossible to find west of the city, as of this writing).
