SALT LAKE CITY — Conor Sheary earned a second NHL chance with the Rangers well over a month ago, when the 33-year-old turned a professional tryout into a contract after a standout performance in the preseason.
After spending the majority of last season with the Lightning’s AHL affiliate in Syracuse, Sheary came to New York intent on proving he still belonged in the best hockey league in the world.
