CALEDONIA, MI – Unity Christian isn’t a football team that throws the ball much, and that has worked out just fine during the Crusaders’ current playoff run.
But it did cause some concern in the week leading up to Saturday’s Division 4 state semifinal against Vicksburg because run-heavy Unity Christian needed to find a way to emulate the Bulldogs’ prolific passing attack to prepare its defense.
It’s safe to say the Crusaders got a solid performance from the scout team because Unity Christian’s defense made everything difficult for the Bulldogs in a 45-17 victory at Caledonia’s Ralph E. Myers Stadium.
