'Tis officially the season in Five Points after NEON Joy kicked off the holiday festivities Friday night.

The free family-friendly event included a laser show set to seasonal music lighting up the Five Points mural, entertaining all ages and setting off an impromptu dance party for the kids in the crowd.

Village businesses also joined in the fun, with activities including a Holiday Hippie Hour at Loose Lucy's, Bubblee Mocktails at A Little Happy (whose employees also roamed the neighborhood spreading cheer and candy canes), Santa's Pub Snow Show at Publico and much more.

The fountain offered face painting, balloon animals and a station to write letters to Santa... who also could be found in person with Mrs. Claus at the Hootie and the Blowfish monument.
