(KRON) -- A K-9 officer helped in arresting a duo sought in connection with a drugstore theft Thursday night, according to the Fairfield Police Department. One of the suspects turned out to be wanted for arson.

FPD said officers were dispatched at 9:32 p.m. to a drug store on Travis Boulevard to investigate a reported theft.

Fairfield police soon pulled the suspects over on Taft Street after witnesses reported them fleeing in a RV.

"Officers learned one of the suspects, identified as 25-year-old Jason Bonifacio, was wanted for arson," said police in a social media post. "Bonifacio barricaded himself inside the RV and refused to exit after numerous commands were given."
