SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Feeding South Dakota has been distributing Thanksgiving Meals all month long to those in need, and on Saturday, it was Rapid City and Sioux Falls’s turn to receive those meals.
Feeding South Dakota is distributing 1,500 meals in Sioux Falls and 1,600 out in Rapid City.
Some people were lined up hours before distribution began, and Feeding South Dakota pointed to that as the need in communities across the state for access to food.
Volunteers, of course, were on hand to help hand out those meals.
“I just love greeting the people and giving them a good Thanksgiving meal, and just being part of helping them out when they need a level up,” said Feeding South Dakota volunteer Jennifer Hartmann.
