FLORENCE, Ala . – North Alabama has played 424 football games inside Braly Stadium — and today was the last. The University of North Alabama football team wrapped up a 77-year era of football at historic Braly Stadium on Saturday with a double-overtime game against Southern Utah, falling by a 36-34 final in Florence. UNA will move into Bobby Wallace Field at Bank Independent Stadium in 2026. This will be the school’s first on-campus football stadium since opening the doors in 1830. The football program started from 1912-1928 and then restarted full-time in 1949. The Lions end their 77-year run at Braly with a home record of 281-135-8.
