SELAH, Wash. – The fourth annual Turkey Bowl food drive took place at Selah High School, inviting people from across the area to join in the fun and support a worthy cause.
The event began with just seven people wanting to play football, but it has grown to include over 100 participants. The focus is on more than just the game. It's about giving back to the community.
The Turkey Bowl started seven years ago when a group of friends wanted to play football around Thanksgiving. As interest grew, so did the idea to help those in need.
Bryant Lucas, one of the original seven, explained how the event evolved.
