SEATAC, Wash. — The Olympic Pipeline remained shut down Saturday evening, an outage that prompted Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson to declare an emergency over potential disruptions at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport .

“Olympic Pipeline continues to respond to a release of refined products east of Everett, Washington,” BP America spokesperson Christina Audisho said in a statement. “The pipeline system remains shut down at this time. Crews have safely excavated nearly 200 feet of pipeline but have not yet identified the source of the release. Crews are operating around the clock and will continue overnight operations tonight.”
