PUTNAM, Conn. (WFSB) - Two people were hospitalized after a crash in Putnam on Saturday evening.

According to the East Putnam Fire Department, a vehicle collided with a pole on Killingly Ave. near Hurry Hill Rd.

Firefighters said there were serious injuries.

One victim was flown to the hospital by LifeStar and the other was brought by ambulance.

Authorities said to expect RT-12 to be closed for several hours into the night.
