FARMINGTON, Conn. (WFSB) - A local non-profit is making sure Connecticut families don’t go without a thanksgiving meal in Farmington on Saturday.
Handing out hundreds of holiday boxes just in time for the big day.
“More and more people are out on the streets, more and more people are going to the shelters,” said James Glaser. “We are putting our two cents in to help people out.”
17 years and counting, “Gift to Gobble” continues its tradition of providing thanksgiving meal boxes to Connecticut families in need.
This year, volunteers spent their Saturday morning from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. preparing 500 meal boxes.
Each one packed with everything you’d expect on a Thanksgiving table making sure no family goes without a holiday meal.
