One of Canada’s 25 most-wanted fugitives has been arrested near the Annex neighbourhood after being “unlawfully at large” since last year.
Toronto police said they found the suspect, Nicholas Singh, 24, of Toronto, in a vehicle in the Bathurst and Dupont streets area just before noon on Friday. He was arrested without incident and a firearm, extended magazine and ammunition were also found, police said in a news release .
Singh had been a part of the Bolo Program — which stands for “Be on the lookout” — that encourages citizens “to be on the lookout for Canada’s most wanted.” It also offers rewards for tips that lead to an arrest.
He was wanted for breach of parole as a federal offender and had been unlawfully at large since May 2024. He was serving a sentence of more than five
