IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - The Iowa football team pulled off a dramatic fourth quarter comeback as the Hawkeyes downed Michigan State 20-17 on Saturday. Drew Stevens solidified an Iowa victory with a 44-yard field goal as time expired. It was fitting Iowa’s senior class helped close out the game on senior day.
“It’s kind of a storybook ending a little bit. Everybody who has put in so much work. It’s a hard race to run. To go from a freshman, all the way to your senior year. A lot of guys don’t make it that far. It’s special,” Stevens said after the game.
