The Calgary Affordable Housing Foundation (CAHF) is launching a winter giving campaign to raise funding to help vulnerable Calgarians find housing in recognition of National Housing Day.
The campaign launched Saturday, according to a media release. Those who want to donate can do so by visiting thecahf.com .
“Every day in Calgary, there are Calgarians facing winter without a warm and safe place to call home,” said CAHF CEO Mike Meldrum, as quoted in the release. “CAHF and our partners are focused on increasing the number of non-market affordable homes and we encourage everyone to support their fellow Calgarians.”
More than 2,500 families, adults and youths remain on the wait list for referrals into affordable housing and on average wait more than 220 days, according to the Calga
