Palm Springs, Palm Desert see similar seasons end in semifinal round

There were multiple similarities to the seasons for the Palm Springs Indians and the Palm Desert Aztecs football teams in 2025.

The two teams shared the Desert Empire League title with identical 4-1 records. Both teams were fortunate to land as the No. 1 seed in their playoff divisions, the Indians in Division 7 and the Aztecs in Division 8. Both teams had relatively easy opening-round playoff wins at home and then had to scratch and claw to win a second-round playoff game.
