Following up on principles they introduced in early November, U.S. House Rep. Jeff Hurd, the Grand Junction Republican representing Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, joined Tom Suozzi (D-New York), Don Bacon (R-Nebraska) and Josh Gottheimer (D-New Jersey) in introducing an Affordable Care Act subsidy extension bill Friday morning.
The legislation — titled the Bipartisan Healthcare Optimization, Protection and Extension (HOPE) Act — would extend ACA enhanced premium tax credits for two years. It also aims to add new income caps and guardrails against health care fraud.
