Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), is suspected to be involved in a major operation in Bangladesh. Reports suggest that an ISI team has been moving across Dhaka and other key cities, holding confidential meetings with military officers, government representatives and officials from major agencies. The team is also said to be monitoring areas along the India–Bangladesh border, raising fresh security concerns for New Delhi.

These developments are significant because Pakistan-based agencies have, in the past, used Bangladeshi territory for activities targeting India. The latest movements have therefore triggered worry within Indian security circles.
