In a significant blow to interstate drug trafficking, Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has arrested a key member of a narcotics syndicate, Tushar, wanted in two separate high-profile heroin cases. Authorities said the seizure involved heroin worth over Rs 8 crore.
The breakthrough came on November 21 when police received a tip-off about Tushar’s location in Mahaveer Enclave, a busy residential area in the national capital. Using technical surveillance and coordinated intelligence, a Crime Branch team led by Head Constables Pramod Kumar and Ravinder Singh tracked the accused to Gali No. 5 in Mahaveer Enclave. The crime branch launched a well-planned raid and apprehended Tushar, 31.
