A legendary musician surprised members of the public with a shock appearance at an open mic night in Brighton, taking to the stage for the first time in four years

Music lovers attending an open mic night in Brighton were in for an unexpected surprise when a very famous musician took to the stage. The event was held at The Neptune Inn on Hove's Victoria Terrace - a traditional old boozer and a well-known haven for live music.

And the crowd were stunned when a bone fide guitar hero made his way to the front. Pink Floyd legend David Gilmour made a surprise appearance after "crashing" his daughter Romany Gilmour's performance.

Together, father and daughter played a handful of Pink Floyd songs including Breathe (In The Air), Time, and Breathe (Reprise). Those in attendance were also stunned
