A major trans-national methamphetamine syndicate with links to Nagaland has been busted under Operation ‘Crystal Fortress’, resulting in the seizure of 328 kg of high-quality meth worth Rs 262 crore from a residence in Chhatarpur, Delhi — one of the biggest drug hauls ever recorded in the capital.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Delhi Police for the breakthrough, calling it a “brilliant example of seamless multi-agency coordination” in pursuit of the government’s goal of a drug-free India under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
