CHARLESTON, S.C. —Their campuses may be just over 75 miles apart, but Georgia basketball a nd Clemson are meeting again in a pre-holiday tournament on a neutral site.
They square off in the championship game of the Shriners Children’s Charleston Classic Sunday, Nov. 22, at TD Arena.
It’s their first meeting since Clemson beat the Bulldogs 64-49 Nov. 20, 2018, in the Cayman Islands.
Both teams won tight games Friday night in the tournament.
Georgia got a 3-pointer from Marcus “Smurf” Millender with 11 seconds to go to beat Xavier 78-77 . Clemson rallied from 11 down in the second half to beat West Virginia 70-67.
