In July 2026, some of the world’s top youth endurance adventure athletes will compete at the world’s first Junior Adventure Racing World Championship, to take place in Témiscamingue.
The endurance adventure sees contestants compete in a 15-kilometre race, that includes canoeing, biking, trail running, rope challenges, and other challenging activities. Organizers noted in a release, “This is the first time a Junior World Championship is being organized in the field of adventure racing. This initiative will position Témiscamingue, Quebec, and Canada as international leaders in adventure and nature-based tourism.”
