Seton LaSalle did a tremendous job in overcoming a 14-point third-quarter deficit to defeat Steel Valley 21-14 on Will Martin’s third touchdown of the game with 2:09 remaining in regulation.
But overcoming obstacles has become commonplace for the Rebels.
Seton LaSalle was in disarray a month prior to its first game against North Catholic. The Rebels watched as two-way starter Khalil Taylor transferred to Pine-Richland and lost in the Class 5A championship game to Peters Township; starter Tre Littlejohn jumped ship for Penn Hills; and sophomore Southmoreland quarterback transfer Anthony Smith dropped his lawsuit against the PIAA challenging his eligibility just two weeks prior to the start of the campaign before heading to Fairmont High School in West Virginia.
