The New Community Shelter broke ground on a supportive housing project Nov. 18 that will provide 41 affordable and supportive apartments in Green Bay.
“This project completes the final piece of our continuum of care,” CEO Terri Refsguard, said in a news release. “For more than 30 years, we’ve helped people rebuild their lives. Now, we will be able to offer long-term housing and support so that our most vulnerable residents never have to experience homelessness again.”
After raising $14 million for the project , the shelter held ceremonial groundbreaking at the site, which is across the street from the shelter at 301 Mather St.
