Climate activists have expressed their dismay at the compromise climate deal struck yesterday at the COP summit in Brazil, which did not include any pledges to reduce the use of fossil fuels.

The EU agreed not to block a final deal, but said it did not agree with the conclusion.
We spoke to the environmentalist Chris Packham and began by asking him whether the COP process was now a waste of time and energy.
