DETROIT — Of the 60,000-plus fans that will attend Ford Field on Sunday, there is probably no one hoping for a Detroit Lions win more than Grace Ward.

With a sign in her hand, Ward, an 11-year-old Chesterfield native, was outside of the stadium taking pictures with her mother Jennifer (Ward), her uncle Jerry Burkett, and his daughter, her cousin Emma, to celebrate a big milestone — her very first Lions game.

Taking a page out of her parents’ book, Ward has been a Lions fan since she was born, and she’s not only loving the team but also has high expectations despite them currently sitting outside the playoffs.

“They’re doing pretty good, and I think we’re going to make it to the Super Bowl,” Ward told MLive. “And that’s because Jahmyr Gibbs is my favorite player. He’s doing really well,
