Area farmer Keith Thiessen, 61, has just purchased more than a thousand acres of land near Morden, Manitoba, which he intends to seed with aura this spring.

“Everyone else is doing corn or canola, so I figured there was a market in the area for aura farming,” said Thiessen. “I don’t know much about it, but my grandkids say I can watch some tutorial videos on TikTok.”

Thiessen is hoping to farm some Roundup Ready Aura in the new year, though his grandkids say he’s really got his work cut out for him.

“Mennonites are known to be good farmers,” said Ashley, 19, “but I’m not sure we have a lot of experience in this area.”

Ashley said she’s going to giving her grandfather lessons in aura farming over the winter months.
