HAMMOND, La. (WVUE) - Southeastern University’s football team was awarded a No. 16 seed Sunday (Nov. 23) into the NCAA’s FCS college football tournament.

The Lions (9-3) will host Illinois State (8-4) at Strawberry Stadium in Hammond on Nov. 29. The first-round game is scheduled for a noon kickoff.

The winner of the game advances to a Dec. 6 date against top-seeded and defending champion North Dakota State (12-0).
