WATONWAN COUNTY, Minn. — The Watonwan County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible animal negligence case at a pet rescue.
According to the authorities, they received a report from a property owner regarding a rural property that they own but do not live on.
The owner stated that their friend was using those premises for a nonprofit pet rescue. However, upon checking the location, the owner reported having discovered multiple dogs in poor condition.
Law enforcement said they reached out to the pet rescue owner, giving "an opportunity to address the animal's health concerns."
