MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa —

Frankie, the surviving member of a beloved pair of geese at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown, is set to welcome a new companion.

Frankie and Blossom's love story garnered international attention three years ago. Blossom died last month after being hit by a car that was driving through the cemetery.

The cemetery says there will be another goose joining Frankie soon named Scout. The goose has been seen eating sliced apples out of the hands of visitors, and she loves hugs. The cemetery says she may arrive within the next couple of weeks.
