MAINE, USA — Maine independent U.S. Senator Angus King is strongly criticizing President Donald Trump’s pending peace plan for Russia’s war on Ukraine and Trump’s pressuring of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to agree to the plan on Thanksgiving.
Speaking at the Halifax International Security Forum in Canada on Saturday , King derided the plan as hatched in Washington and Moscow with little input from Kyiv.
King said, “For the President of the United States to say that President Zelenskyy has until Thursday to make up his mind is just outrageous.”
