AKRON, Ohio (WNDU) - The Notre Dame men’s soccer team saw its season come to a heartbreaking end on Sunday afternoon after falling to Akron 1-0 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The game was a scoreless tie until Akron scored the game-winning goal off a corner in the 88th minute.
Notre Dame finishes the season with a 9-7-4 record.
The 14th-seeded Zips will face the winner of No. 3 seed Princeton and Duke in the third round.
