TYLER, Texas — Flashy cars lined the parking lot of Bubba's 33 restaurant in Tyler on Saturday morning. Auto enthusiasts had decided to pop their hoods for a good cause: Saturday's fundraiser benefitted Tyler Pride and his wife, Charity.
The couple's youngest daughter, Ellie, who was adopted in July, has been diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer.
"They call her the miracle baby because she has defied all the odds," Charity said.
Ellie's extensive treatment has included multiple rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and an eight-hour surgery that required her to be face down the entire time.
She's still here, and she's still smiling. Ellie spent her Saturday at the car show in a remote control miniature Corvette.
