EAST BOSTON, Mass. —
Around six million Americans will travel by air during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, with Tuesday expected to be the peak travel day.
Many at Boston's Logan Airport were getting a jump on holiday travel Sunday, with most saying they had no issues getting to the city.
"I'm coming from NYC, I'm in school there, so coming home to see family," said Lizzie Lynch, who flew home to Andover. "I booked this a week ago after I heard everything was back on track. So, no problem, it was all great."
The FAA recently lifted flight restrictions that resulted in dozens of cancellations and delays during the government shutdown, the longest in U.S. history.
"It's definitely a different situation now than we were looking at a couple of weeks ago," said AAA's Mark Shieldrop. He
