MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The woman who is charged with abusing and killing a 3-year-old boy is reportedly set for a mental evaluation.

According to the Shelby County District Attorney's Office, 29-year-old Dominica Mosby will appear in court for a mental evaluation on December 11.

Mosby is charged in connection with the death of 3-year-old Kevin Horton. According to the Memphis Police, officers responded to a home on Beacon Hills Drive on November 15 and found the child unresponsive.

The Memphis Fire Department pronounced the boy dead minutes later. The medical examiner has reportedly ruled his death a homicide, citing his internal injuries, bruising, and burns.
