MADISON, (WKOW) — Cyclists gathered on Sunday for the annual Cranksgiving event, riding from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. to collect food and supplies for local families in need.
Joshua Vanderlew, a community cyclist, participated in the event.
"It includes a group of cyclists together from the community to go to local grocery stores to pick up food and other supplies for people in the community that need it," Vanderlew said.
Vanderlew shared that the group has been involved for years.
"We've done this for about seven year." he said.
He added that the experience had been positive, saying,
"Weather's great today… it's great just to be in the community and share with people and be able to give back to the community." The event showcased community care, Vanderlew said.
