COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Sunday marks the beginning of the Christmas season, as the 59th annual Governor’s Carolighting is set to kick off Sunday at 6 p.m.
Each year, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster invites residents and visitors to gather on the Capitol grounds for the annual lighting of the state Christmas tree.
Sunday’s celebration begins with a visit from Santa and a South Carolina pop-up shop at 6:00, followed by live music from South Carolina artists and a countdown to the tree lighting from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
