A second person has been linked to the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

The 15-year-old was found dead in the boot of singer D4vd's Tesla in September.

The latest suspect's phone and social media data have reportedly been triangulated by LAPD homicide detectives to the Hollywood Hills spot on the same timeframe that Rivas died, according to a report by TMZ.

The unidentified person may have been in the singer's car where the teen's body was found, Los Angeles-based criminal defence lawyer Mark Geragos revealed on TMZ's 2 Angry Men podcast.

Geragos confirmed via sources that a central part of the case is a mysterious trip D4vd took to a remote area of Santa Barbara County in the middle of the night last spring.

The Romantic Homicide singer is being eyed as a suspect in the death of Rivas Hernandez. Investigators probing her death are said to be zeroing in on the songwriter and believe he may have played a role in the teen's demise after her rotting remains were discovered in Los Angeles earlier this year, police sources told Los Angeles TV station KABC.

The medical examiner is working to determine the exact cause of death, but has been delayed because Hernandez's remains were so badly decayed.

No arrests have yet been made in the case.
