IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa’s special teams unit delivered historic performances against Michigan State, with seniors Kaden Wetjen and Drew Stevens adding to their record-breaking seasons.
Wetjen broke Tim Dwight’s program record for career return touchdowns, scoring his sixth career return touchdown. The Williamsburg native averaged 49 yards per punt return against the Spartans.
Stevens connected on the game-winning 44-yard field goal, continuing his record-setting career for Iowa.
Development pays off for veteran specialists
Head coach Kirk Ferentz said the seniors’ success comes from years of development in Iowa’s program.
