(ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A record number of Americans are expected to spend Thanksgiving weekend shopping this year. According to the National Retail Federation, nearly 187 million people plan to shop between Thanksgiving Day and Cyber Monday.
That’s up three million from last year, which previously held the record.
Survey results show Black Friday and Cyber Monday remain the most popular shopping days, drawing the largest crowds both in-store and online.
The top items on shoppers’ lists this year include clothing and accessories, gift cards and toys.
