LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -Flesh Piercings opened its pop-up community pantry for local residents earlier today.

The pantry offers free food and household items for people in need. It operates every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 12 to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m.

Mirissa Alfera, who owns Flesh Piercings, said helping the community is important to her business.

“Our clients are what keep us going and when you walk through those doors, your family,” Alfera said. “A lot of our family is in need right now and it breaks my heart and I just want to make a difference. We all do.”

Alfera said people can donate to the pantry.
