LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kosair for Kids hosted their 11th annual Pie Auction to help children in need.
Dozens of desserts from renowned Louisville-area chefs were up for grabs at the auction.
Those who weren’t exactly into sweets, savory pies and breads along with Chicago-style deep dish pizzas were also auctioned to the highest bidder.
Money from the auction helps Kosair For Kids’ mission to assist with healthcare bills, medical equipment and therapies families couldn’t otherwise afford.
Those attending Sunday’s event got to hear from Kosair Kid Elliot who was born with spina bifida. His family receives support from the organization, allowing them to focus on their son without having to worry about hospital bills.
Elliot’s mother Whitney Stevens described what the support means to her.
