MCDONALD COUNTY, Mo. — The suspect in a Missouri shootout at an off-duty deputy's home has been identified as an Arkansas parolee with ties to an arson case in Bentonville.

The McDonald County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) said around noon on Nov. 16 deputy Michael Hall noticed an unfamiliar car parked in his driveway, and a man walking away from the vehicle.

Hall, a reserve deputy who has been with MCSO since 1997, attempted to make contact the man but was unable to locate him. Shortly after, he discovered that the car in his driveway was reported stolen out of Texas.

The man, identified as 32-year-old Dylan Martinez, reportedly had a prior relationship with someone in the area. MCSO said the relationship ended in a "hostile manner" after Martinez allegedly tried to burn the other person's v
