Gunmen and a suicide bomber have attacked a paramilitary force headquarters in Pakistan’s northwestern city of Peshawar, killing at least three security personnel, according to media reports.
The Dawn daily reported on Monday that the headquarters of the Federal Constabulary (FC) was “under attack” and that a suicide bomber had detonated their explosives at the gate to the complex.
The daily cited police and security sources in Peshawar.
It cited the sources as saying that three fighters and three FC officers were killed in the attack, and that security forces had cordoned off the area.
The Dunya News website, citing Peshawar Police Officer Mian Saeed, said the three slain FC officers had been stationed at the gate and were killed in the explosion there.
