A person of interest was detained after a teen boy was shot and killed in Pomona on Sunday, Nov. 23.

Officers responded just after 5:20 p.m. to the 1300 block of Pasadena Street and found a 16-year-old boy who had been shot, the Pomona Police Department said in an emailed statement.

Footage from KNN.News, a freelance organization, showed police outside the Le Concorde apartment complex at 1360 Pasadena St.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police detained a person of interest.

The investigation was ongoing.
