SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane residents may soon face higher water, sewer and trash bills.
The Spokane City Council is set to vote Monday night on a proposed 0.5 percent increase in the utility tax.
Currently, residents are paying a 21 percent tax on utilities.
The proposed tax is aimed at addressing a projected $13 million budget deficit for the coming year.
