RIO RANCHO, N.M. —
Construction crews in Rio Rancho worked late into Sunday night to repair damage from a water main break that occurred on Friday, affecting approximately 500 homes.
Rio Rancho Fire Chief James Wenzel commended the water department's prompt efforts to address the issue. He noted that Station 7 assisted by distributing water to residents who were without it.
"When the water department started kind of working on that to get that main line address, there was some additional residents that went without water," Wenzel said.
Officials reported that substantial repairs were made by Sunday, although some residents may experience lower-than-normal water pressure for a day.
